Optical Laboratory Technician
Duties and responsibilities:
optical laboratory technicians fix eyeglass lenses to the
prescription written by ophthalmologists or optometrists. They are also in
charge of fixing polished lenses, and frames.
Average salary: $15,000 - $20,000
Educational requirements:
A high school Diploma or GED certificate is required to begin
training. These training programs last from six months to one year.
Reflection:
I actually would not like
to be an optical Laboratory Technician because it honestly doesn’t seem to
catch my attention, and in that case I wouldn’t be happy working as one. (x
