Radiation Therapist
Duties and responsibilities:
radiation therapists are in
charge of assisting radiologists and oncologists in treating diseases by
exposing areas of patients’ bodies to ionizing radiation. They help with
treatments, they maintain the radiation therapy equipment and help maintain
patient records.
Average salary: $22,000 - $36,000
Educational requirements:
Students are to take the most challenging high school courses
available in science, math, and English. Training to become a radiation
therapist can be done in one or two years. Students must have graduated from an
approved program in radiologic technology to receive a year program. A high
school diploma or a GED is required to enter a two year course.
Reflection: I honestly would not like to be a radiation
therapist because it does not grab my attention. (x
