Student Success Statement
Cowardice asks the question, is it safe?
Expediency ask the question, is it politic?
Vanity asks the question, is it popular?

But, conscience asks the question, ‘is it right?’ And there comes a time when we must take a position that is neither safe, nor politic, nor popular, but one must take it because one’s conscience tells one that is it right.
Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr.

Reflection: this quote by Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. has many different meanings. Meanings that vary depending who you are and what you believe. For example to me this quote means that sometimes there’s obstacles in life that will try to held you down because doing what is right is forbidden for others. Sometimes doing the right thing is the wrong thing for others. But truth is never allow anyone to stop you from doing what you know is right because at the end of the day who is there for you? No one but yourself. Just be yourself regardless of who is looking or aiming to bring you down. Be happy with yourself! :)
ex: your friends telling you to change their test score higher, you know you shouldn't, the teacher trusts you, you either loose your teachers trust or your friends get mad or stop talking to you. you know exactly what is right, because you know changing the test score is wrong. xD
