Psychiatrist

Duties and responsibilities:

Psychiatrists are in charge of specializing the problems of mental illness. They use a very wide variety of treatments and write prescriptions. They may work for the government, have their own private practice, or work in hospitals, clinics, or universities. They design treatment programs, conduct psychotherapy sessions, prescribe potent mental illness drugs, supervise electrotherapy treatments, conduct researches, and lead a team of mental health care providers.

Average salary: $90,000 - $200,000

Educational requirements:

Other than completing the requirements for a degree in allopathic or osteopathic medicine, psychiatrists must finish a three year residency in psychiatry.


Reflection: honestly I would actually love to study to become a psychiatrist. I’d love to help others out.
