Pharmacy Technician

Duties and responsibilities:
A pharmacist technician is in charge of filling prescriptions according to the doctors’ orders.  They measure the amount of medication from large containers to fill in smaller containers. Their work is then rechecked by a pharmacist before the medication is handed over to the patient. Pharmacy technicians are also in charge of checking inventories and ordering supplies, receiving and checking supplies, waiting for customers, keeping the pharmacy clean, and helping out patients fill out their insurance forms.

Average salary: $15,000 - $25,000

Educational requirements:
Students should take the most challenging courses in high school. A high school diploma is required to begin training. Then two year courses are available at most community colleges.

Reflection: I honestly would not like to be a Pharmacy Technician for many reasons. You have a lot of duties and get paid very little amount, second it doesn’t seem like it’d be my type of job.
