Duties and responsibilities:

Medical illustrators work in creating pictures for textbooks, journals, magazines, and educational films. They might also work in modeling artificial skills like ears, or noses for patients that are deformed. (x

Average salary: $35,000 – $50,000

Educational requirement:

Students should take high school courses over art and science. In college they should major in art or major in science. Undergraduate science courses are required for medical school. Medical illustrators have Master’s degrees, and a requirement is a graduate degree in medical illustrations, a portfolio review, and a completion of a national examination.

Reflection: do you think you’d like to be one? Why or why not?

I don’t think I would like to be one because I have no type of patience for art.

Medical assistants work in helping physicians and nurses in providing patient care, they schedule appointments, take blood pressure, respirations, temperature, and perform pre-exams.  They work in hospitals, clinics, and private physician offices.

Students should have completes the courses in biology, physician science, office management, communications, and human relations. Programs are provided by community colleges, and for-profit technical training schools.

Duties and responsibilities:

Licensed practical nurses take care of people who are injured, handicapped, or sick. They take their temperatures, blood pressures, and their pulse. They can also inject them, change them, and help them shower. Licensed practical nurses work in hospitals, homes, or any care facilities.

Average salary: $16,000 - $23,000

Educational requirements:

It is encouraged to have a high school diploma or GED certificate. Training programs are offered by hospitals, vocational schools, junior colleges, and private schools.

I wouldn’t like to be a licensed practical nurse because I don’t like seeing people hurt, sick, injured, or handicapped.

Paul William Bryant was born on September 11, 1913 in Fordyce, Arkansas and died at the age of 69 ;) on January 26, 1983 in Tuscaloosa Alabama. Bryant was a college football player, and a head coach of University of Alabama football team.  
Industrial Hygienist
Duties and Responsibilities: 

an Industrial hygienist evaluates health hazards, they conduct health risk assessments, they’re in charge of industrial or business health programs, and they provide consultations. They usually collect and perform lab analyses, they also check work exposure over radiation, vibrations, and noises. They calibrate equipment, investigate health hazards, and conduct researches.

Salary:  $40,000 - $60,000

Education:

Students should always take the most challenging college prep courses, they should also take the most challenging courses in mathematics and science during high school.

It is required to at least have a Bachelor’s degree in occupational health and safety, environmental health engineering, or in physical science. Most jobs require a Master’s degree.

Home Health Aide


Duties and responsibilities:

Home health aides work for companies that give assistance at home to people that are ill, injured, elder, or disabled. Home health aides must take their patient’s blood pressure, temperature, and their pulse. They help them get in bed and out, they help take baths, and to dress. They prepare and serve their meals, and do house chores.

Average salary: $8,000 - $18,000

Educational requirements:

It’s Preferable having a high school diploma, or a GED certificate.

Honestly I would but then wouldn’t like to become a home health aide because I’d feel trapped in a home that first of all isn’t mine, second of all surrounded by people who I don’t even know. So therefore I have changed my mind, I do NOT want to be this. (x

Educational requirements:

Each and every student should take the most difficult high school courses in business, science, math, and English. Most healthcare administrators must have a master’s degree in healthcare administration or in business administration.

Reflection:  honestly, I wouldn’t like to be a healthcare administrator because I can’t stand being in hospitals,  I can’t stand seeing how I’d be surrounded by so many people who need so much care and help.

$20,000 - $25,000 for Coding Specialists 
$23,000 - $30,000 for Record Technicians
$30,000 - $40,000 for Record Administrators

Educational requirements:

Coding specialists are required to have a high school diploma or GED certificate. Accredited record technicians must have an associate’s degree from a college. Record administrators must have a bachelor’s degree program in the field and pass a certification exam.

Epidemiologists study the frequency and distribution of diseases within human populations and environments. Specifically, they measure the incidence of disease occurrence and relate it to different characteristics of populations and environments. Epidemiologists perform research, education, and public health practice in universities, government agencies, international organizations, and private corporations. Epidemiologists often:
