Reflection: in order to go far and achieve your goals, you have to start doing your best and working hard from this point forward. If you fail, pick yourself up, don’t give up and keep on trying, because sooner or later you will achieve it. J

Ex: being good at basketball, even though you’re good, always aim for better.
 
 

                                                Medical Assistant


Duties and responsibilities:

Medical assistants work in helping physicians and nurses in providing patient care, they schedule appointments, take blood pressure, respirations, temperature, and perform pre-exams.  They work in hospitals, clinics, and private physician offices.

Average salary: $17,000 - $18,000

 

Educational requirements:

Students should have completes the courses in biology, physician science, office management, communications, and human relations. Programs are provided by community colleges, and for-profit technical training schools.

Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN)

Duties and responsibilities:

Licensed practical nurses take care of people who are injured, handicapped, or sick. They take their temperatures, blood pressures, and their pulse. They can also inject them, change them, and help them shower. Licensed practical nurses work in hospitals, homes, or any care facilities.

Average salary: $16,000 - $23,000

Educational requirements:

It is encouraged to have a high school diploma or GED certificate. Training programs are offered by hospitals, vocational schools, junior colleges, and private schools.
Do you think you would like to be one? Why or why not?

I wouldn’t like to be a licensed practical nurse because I don’t like seeing people hurt, sick, injured, or handicapped.

Paul “Bear” Bryant


Paul William Bryant was born on September 11, 1913 in Fordyce, Arkansas and died at the age of 69 ;) on January 26, 1983 in Tuscaloosa Alabama. Bryant was a college football player, and a head coach of University of Alabama football team.  
Industrial Hygienist
Duties and Responsibilities: 

an Industrial hygienist evaluates health hazards, they conduct health risk assessments, they’re in charge of industrial or business health programs, and they provide consultations. They usually collect and perform lab analyses, they also check work exposure over radiation, vibrations, and noises. They calibrate equipment, investigate health hazards, and conduct researches.

Salary:  $40,000 - $60,000

Education:

Students should always take the most challenging college prep courses, they should also take the most challenging courses in mathematics and science during high school.

It is required to at least have a Bachelor’s degree in occupational health and safety, environmental health engineering, or in physical science. Most jobs require a Master’s degree.
