Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN)
Duties and responsibilities:
Licensed practical
nurses take care of people who are injured, handicapped, or sick. They take
their temperatures, blood pressures, and their pulse. They can also inject
them, change them, and help them shower. Licensed practical nurses work in
hospitals, homes, or any care facilities.
Average
salary: $16,000 - $23,000
Educational requirements:
It is
encouraged to have a high school diploma or GED certificate. Training programs
are offered by hospitals, vocational schools, junior colleges, and private
schools.
Do you think
you would like to be one? Why or why not?
I wouldn’t like
to be a licensed practical nurse because I don’t like seeing people hurt, sick,
injured, or handicapped.
