Reflection: what I believe this quote means is that doing what is right leads to good things, but doing what you shouldn’t be doing leads to bad consequences.
ex: being kind towards others would make them want to talk to you, but if you're unkind no ones honestly going to like you nor will they want to be anywhere around you.
