Monitor Surveillance Technician

Duties and responsibilities:

Monitor Surveillance Technicians are responsible for observing the electrical activity of heartbeats that are displayed on monitors in cardiac care. They examine the patterns and give the results to the nursing staff and physicians.

Average salary: $26,000 – $41,000

Educational requirements:

Students should take math, science, and computer technology courses. After graduating from high school, students should enroll in a vocational school, community college, or hospitals. This will take from 2 months up to 2 years.

Reflection: I honestly wouldn’t like to be a monitor surveillance technician because it sounds like a pretty boring job in my opinion.
